ACCESSIBLE PEDESTRIAN SIGNAL

Step up the Safety. Equip your intersections with IQ and you won't have to worry about pedestrian safety!

Take a look at how IQ works:

Locator tone:
When a pedestrian approaches an IQ intersection they hear a locator
tone emitting from the IQ pedestrian station. This feature tells the
pedestrian that the intersection is equipped with APS and also tells
them where the pedestrian pushbutton is.

Wait Please Acknowledgment Tone:
Once the pedestrian presses the pushbutton, IQ acknowledges the
request with a brief, audible message "Wait Please". LED is Lit.

Location Message:

When the pedestrian holds the pushbutton for three seconds,
a location message tells the pedestrian specific information about
crosswalk location or conditions.

3 second options:
• Message
• Actuation
• Volume

Walk Phase:
When the walk cycle is initiated, four things happen:
1. The walk sign lights.
2. IQ gives an audible message or tone indicating the walk sign is on.
3. A vibrotactile arrow vibrates through the walk cycle
4. The acknowledgment LED turns off.
